Calum Best - Celebrity Bainisteoir Visits Bohola NS

Friday 19 October, 2012 was a very special day for Bohola National School. As part of the lead up to the final of the RTE GAA Celebrity Bainisteoir Show, Calum Best and members of the Moy Davitts Football Team visited the school. There he met with the children who were wearing their red and white in support of their local club, Moy Davitts. There was much excitement when Bainisteoir Calum along with the RTE personnel and cameras entered the room. A special song was prepared and sung for Mr. Best and his team and he was presented with a Moy Davitts cap along with a red and white braid which was made by one of the pupils on the day.

The school was very busy all week in the lead up to the final which was held in Parnell Park, Dublin on Friday 26 October at 7.30pm against Newtown Cashel of Longford. The pupils painted several banners and posters, many of which were captured by the TV cameras. Others were busy knitting, braiding and making decorations and flags. It was truly a wonderful occasion for the school and wider community in general and we congratulate Calum and the Moy Davitts Team on winning the final in Parnell Park. A great achievement for our local club,
