U13 Mayo Mixed Cross Country
After competing in the Mayo Cross Country trials in Castlebar on the 13th of November 2021, I was selected as a member of the team. The Mayo Team comprised of the first 5 boys and 5 girls to cross the finish line in Castlebar. That team went on to compete in the All Ireland Community Games Finals which were held in Navan, Co. Meath on November the 27th 2021.
The team assembled in Navan two hours before the competition and made final preparations and completed a warm up. It was a fast paced race over rough terrain on a cold dry day. We were fortunate enough to be placed third in Ireland. We were delighted with our achievement, received our bronze medals and enjoyed the journey home.
